Good Copywriting Matters

One of the first things that women entrepreneurs focus on when it comes to their website, is how it looks, and one of the last things is their copy. Now this is understandable given that us women, tend to love fashion and are conscientious about how we look, but…

Ladies…you’ve got it backwards! The MOST IMPORTANT aspect of your website is your COPY!

That’s right and no matter how “good looking” your website is, if it doesn’t have good copy, anchored with some important key components that will draw your readers/web visitors in, your website will be nothing more than just another…”pretty face”.

So what makes copy good, or even better…GREAT?

Here are 5 Keys to Great Website Copy:

1. Headlines, Headlines, Headlines

Do you get the message of how important headlines are? You need to have one on EVERY page of your website, AND you they need to be Read the rest of this entry »

Landing Pages That Grow Lists

If you’ve been around the internet marketing world for awhile, then you’ve likely heard that the “money is in the list”. In other words, if you want to make money online, you must build, grow, create a list of prospects that can eventually become paying clients. The question is, how do you do that? Or more specifically, what does your website need to have, in order to help you do that?

You need a landing page that is focused solely on growing your list.

Over the past few years, websites have migrated from 100 percent static sites, to almost 100 percent blog sites built in WordPress. While this is a good thing for many reasons, what has often been forgotten in this process, is list building. WordPress sites are great for their ease of use and search engine “likability”, but what happened to the landing pages, or more specifically the squeeze pages? Keeping the Faith

What do you do when the going gets tough? I mean, let’s be honest…when you’re in the early stages, or even the later stages of being a business owner, some days are harder than others. So, what do you do on the days when you feel like you just want to quit?

For me, I “keep the faith”. “Faith in what”, you may ask, and for me, it’s God. Now, in your world, you may choose to call your source of faith, the Divine, Divine Mother, Source, Spirit, Guides or some other name, but it’s essentially where you draw your strength and guidance from. It’s the source of energy that keeps you going, and reminds you of why you’re doing, what you’re doing.

Now, I don’t intend to offend anyone, but Read the rest of this entry »

Lights, Camera…Video!

Video on websites and blogs is one of the hottest trends going, so why don’t you see video used by all entrepreneurs, and on all websites?

What I often hear from entrepreneurs regarding video is…

“I don’t like being on camera.”

“I don’t know what to say in my video.”

“I don’t know how to create a video and/or upload it once it’s completed.”

“It takes too much time.”

I’m sure that there are other reasons that you’re not currently using video on your website, but whatever they are, here are Read the rest of this entry »

Websites With Intention

Were you intentional when you created your website? In other
words, do you know what you intend for your website visitors to do on every page of your site…what action you want them to take?

It is common practice for entrepreneurs to model other websites that they find on the internet when they’re creating their own. Modeling is good, but you must be intentional on every page of your site. You don’t want to include web pages, just because someone else did or someone told you that you were supposed to have those pages. You want to have a clear purpose for every page on your website, AND a clear intention for what action you want your web visitors to take on every page of your site.

Think of your website as Read the rest of this entry »
